Local Eats

My Mom, Sister, Niece and I went to Findlay Market Saturday for a tour of a few of the local eats around Cincinnati.  Generations and generations of amazing food, and people.  Our Sunday Menu was based off the food we would acquire through out tasting tour and go from there if we needed to fill in the blanks.  On our tour we tasted food from: Eckerlin Meats, which has amazing Geotta, Fresh Corn Salsa from Fresh Table is very good, Churchill Teas is refreshing and fresh, and Cake Rack has some pretty tasty cookies.  So the recipe was Sirloin Pinwheels from Eckerlin Meats, Smashed Potatoes and Broccoli with Brown Butter.  We munched on dates and different flavors of cashews from the Mediterranean shop as we cooked.  Dessert was a Oreo Crusted Chocolate Tart with Fresh Strawberries and Homemade Whipping Cream.. yum!
More photos to come of the Sunday Meal...

A Rainy Sunday, A Simple Menu

After a night and day spent in Columbus, Ohio with some really great Friends and lots of Tommy's Pizza, we decided to lighten up our Sunday Menu.  Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad with Parmesan Reggiano, Croutons and lots of Cracked Pepper.  Along with a Rustic Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake Tart.  Simple and Delicious it was, with lots of help from Brylee.

With help from Mario B. and Jamie O.

We wanted to keep it simple on such a gorgeous Sunday and not spend all day in the Kitchen, which is exactly what we accomplished!  After a long walk through our rolling hills, and lots of Brylee entertainment we hit the Kitchen!  Today's menu was Salad with a Homemade Vinaigrette, Mario Batali's Homemade Pasta with Breadcrumbs and Oregano, and Jamie Oliver's Bustrengo Bolognese Polenta and Apple Cake with Homemade Whipping Cream.. and lots of seconds.
